About the Spanish economy and market

Before the worldwide crisis hit, the Spanish economy was considered one of the major economies of the world. Ernst & Youg in 2005 ranked Spain in the top 10 of most profitable countries in the world to invest in. Furthermore, the Dutch centre for trade stimulation (NCH) states that over 60% of employment growth in all countries using the Euro, was generated by the Spanish economy. The gross national product n 2005 increased with 3.4%, in comparison to 3% in 2004 this indicates a healthy growth.

The growing economy of Spain was caused by various elements, amongst which are:
•  Decreasing unemployment
•  Increasing confidence of the Spanish consumers
•  Increasing spending power of the consumers
•  Increasing demand for consumer goods

Nowadays, Spain is having a hard time as are most countries. However, the crisis creates opportunities as well, and Spain will remain one of Europe's largest consuming markets. Contact us for more.
